It’s ready, and I’m thrilled to share it with you! The cover reveal: The Gift: Betrayal (Update: in 2019, Lover Betrayed replaced Betrayal). The design by Katarina Meglic, a local graphic designer, matches the mood and style of the other original covers in the series. The cover also recreates the opening scene of the book. Credit and gratitude for the original photographs goes to talented local photographer, Annette Reinhart.
Betrayal is scheduled for release on November 15.
Betrayal is not the next book in the series, chronologically speaking, nor is it the last. It’s a re-telling of the first book, Secret Sky (formerly Awakening), but from Jackson Delaney’s point of view. He was Emelynn Taylor’s love interest in that first book. His role was pivotal, controversial, and demanded to be told.
But don’t worry—I’m not done with Emelynn yet. Her story will continue in books to come.
The following is a short teaser from Lover Betrayed (formerly The Gift: Betrayal).
Vengeance for the Forsaken …
When Jackson Delaney’s wife leaves him for his half-brother and empties their bank account, Jackson seeks revenge to quench the fire in his soul.
But first he has to find them.
Jackson and his wife’s brother put aside their warring motives and join forces to mount a search destined to break laws and test their resolve. And when Jackson meets a mysterious young woman with no knowledge of her arcane and powerful gift, he recklessly lures her into his vengeful mission.
What is Jackson willing to risk? And how much will he lose before he finds his way back home?
Lover Betrayed careens on a high-speed chase, from the gentile character of New Orleans to the rugged beauty of the North American west coast.

This is a beautiful cover and I actually studied the other book covers in your series, too. All are very closely tied but have unique details. 🙂

Thank you! Each cover is tied to the story in the book. Beaches feature large, as you might have guessed. The first and second are BC beaches, the third is a beach in Bodega Bay, and the 4th is from underneath the Granville Island bridge, another story-specific site. Betrayal is a composite of photos from New Orleans, where the opening scene takes place. Thanks so much for stopping by with your keen observations!

Like the cover very much. Fits with your story beautifully! And as you say, Jackson wanted his story told. 🙂
